Inspiring acting classes for children in Leicester
At Extravagant School of Acting, we nurture young talent aged 3 to 11 through screen acting, stagecraft, and musical theatre. Led by professional actress and Principal Faith Shamiso Mutoti, we empower children to build deep confidence, embrace authentic naturalism, and shine on stage.
Our core programmes
Our core programs: At Extravagant School of Acting, we believe that in acting there are many stages, and every performer's journey is unique! ESOA proudly offers stage and screen acting, musical theatre, and stagecraft. Please look below to see what each of these core pillars represents to ESOA:
Stage and screen acting
At ESOA, stage and screen acting is where young performers discover their voice and presence. We focus heavily on building unshakeable personal confidence, mastering vocal projection, and learning to truly connect with authentic emotion. Students develop camera technique, camera eyelines, script breakdown, and live stage blocking, creating believable, deeply moving performances both live on stage and on lens
Musical theatre and stagecraft
Our musical theatre and stagecraft training creates versatile, well-rounded performers. In musical theatre, students explore movement, vocal delivery, character song interpretation, and dynamic ensemble routines that foster teamwork, rhythm, and creative expression. Through stagecraft, students gain technical production literacy learning stage directions, lighting awareness, prop handling, and backstage discipline giving them a complete 360-degree respect for the magical world of theatre
Real performance and community impact
Acting is about more than rehearsals. Our students showcase their growth in live theatrical productions, earn recognition at formal awards ceremonies, and bring joy through community outreach performances across Leicester care homes.
Global perspective and industry technique
Founded by Principal Faith Shamiso Mutoti, an agency-represented actress with international teaching experience touring primary schools in Zimbabwe, we teach realistic naturalism. We guide children to communicate truthfully, speak boldly, and thrive both on stage and in everyday life.
